3Intro to Agility IIIntro to Agility IITime: 9:30 am – 10:30 am Dogs and handlers will continue to build drive and gain confidence in preparation for the sport of agility. While every dog and handler team learns at their own pace, we will continue to build on what was learned in previous classes. Handling skills come into play as sequences get longer.
Focus, recall, ignoring distractions and having FUN with your dog are still at the core of this class. Please bring a crate, mat and plenty of rewards for class. Clicker if you currently use one or want to learn. Prerequisite is ‘Agility Foundations’ and ‘Introduction to Agility’Agility FoundationsAgility FoundationsTime: 11:00 am – 12:00 pm This on leash class teaches the handler and dog teams the foundation to agility. Starting with a good foundation leads to a more focused and driven dog as they progress to working on agility equipment later on. Students will learn how to use free shaping, targeting, luring, and focus techniques, as well as being able to work their dog through distractions. All much needed skills to progress to the fun sport of agility.
