In the 4-week My K9 Can class we're bringing together a number of fun obstacles and skills that your dog can learn and perform with confidence. Tunnels, wobble boards, tiny teeters, elevated platforms, fit paw fun, and more! In this class we'll introduce your dog to a variety of equipment and help them stay fit and active. Through our positive training method, they'll learn skills that will take their confidence to the next level.

Dogs and handlers will continue to build drive and gain confidence in preparation for the sport of agility. While every dog and handler team learns at their own pace, we will continue to build on what was learned in previous classes. Handling skills come into play as sequences get longer.
Focus, recall, ignoring distractions and having FUN with your dog are still at the core of this class. Please bring a crate, mat and plenty of rewards for class. Clicker if you currently use one or want to learn. Prerequisite is ‘Agility Foundations’ and ‘Introduction to Agility’

This on leash class teaches the handler and dog teams the foundation to agility. Starting with a good foundation leads to a more focused and driven dog as they progress to working on agility equipment later on. Students will learn how to use free shaping, targeting, luring, and focus techniques, as well as being able to work their dog through distractions. All much needed skills to progress to the fun sport of agility.

The first week is for people only as you learn why your dog behaves the way he does and how you can help him be more calm, cool and collected. The remaining four classes your dog will join you to work on the exercises that you can use in the real world to help manage and modify your dog's behavior.

We focus on more advanced techniques preparing your dog to be well mannered both at home and in the community. At the end of the six weeks your dog will be eligible to test for and register with the AKC for the Canine Good Citizen certificate. TDI testing is scheduled independently.
