What food will you feed my dog?

We do not provide food. We ask that the dog’€™s regular food be brought in for feeding. Keeping a dog on their regular diet will lessen the chance of an upset stomach while they are here with us. To accommodate any special dietary needs we do have a refrigerator, freezer and microwave available. We can accommodate a variety of diets including wet, dry, dehydrated or raw.

How often will you feed my dog?

We feed breakfast 7am -€“ 8am, lunch or snack at noon and dinner 6pm – 7pm. We will accommodate special feeding times for medical reasons. An additional fee of $10.00 per night may be added if your dog requires special feeding requirements that do not meet our time constraints. Each case will be discussed and agreed upon prior to the date of your reservation.

Can you accommodate feeding separate?

Yes. We will feed dogs who share a room separately or monitor them as requested during their stay.

How often does my dog go outside to go potty?

All dogs are let out to go potty a minimum of 6 times a day. These 6 outs are distributed evenly between the hours of 7am and 9pm daily. If the dog is elderly or has a specific health issue we can accommodate their potty break schedule based on their personal requirements.

My dog needs to get medication. Do you charge extra to administer it?

We do not charge extra to administer medication unless an extreme number of medications need to be administered and requires additional time above our regular routine. An additional fee of $10.00 per night may be added if your dog requires special requirements that do not meet our time constraints. Each case will be discussed and agreed upon prior to the date of your reservation.

My dog is diabetic. Do you administer the shots?

Yes. We are able to administer insulin shots to diabetic dogs. Shots must be administered between 7am -€“ 8pm. If the dog receives their shots before or after these hours we ask you to adjust their schedule to fit our availability.

What happens if my pet gets sick while he is boarding?

If a dog becomes ill during their stay we will do our best to contact the owner or their emergency contact immediately. Upon owner request we will contact their regular veterinary office and transport the dog at no cost to the owner. If the owner’€™s regular veterinary office is not open and the dog requires emergency veterinary care we will transport the dog to VCA Great Lakes Veterinary Specialists on Richmond Road in Bedford Heights. We are not responsible for any costs associated with veterinary care.

Do you take the dogs for walks or have special play time with them? Does this cost extra?

All of our overnight guests receive around two hours a day of one-on-one time with our kennel technicians in addition to their normal potty break schedule. There is never a fee for this service. Daycare services are available at a discounted rate for our boarding clients. We also provide enrichment training, obedience training and Park Walks for an additional fee and based on trainer/specialist availability.

Does my dog get put outside to potty with other dogs?

All kennel guests are let out one room at a time, so only dogs from the same family will go outside together.

How often do you clean the rooms?

Cleanliness is a top priority in our facility. Our overnight rooms and common areas are cleaned once a day with extra cleaning as needed. Our cleaning process consists of washing the walls, the door, and the floor of each overnight room and giving each dog a fresh bowl of water. When a dog checks out of our facility we completely disinfect the area to prepare it for the next overnight guest. Our regular cleaning routine also includes laundering of bedding, washing of bowls after each meal, vacuuming and mopping of all common areas.

How do you clean your outdoor areas?

We are diligent about picking up after every dog. This allows us to keep track of the dog’€™s bathroom habits. It also helps us maintain a clean outdoor area. Along with picking up after every dog, we use an animal specific disinfectant twice a day and hose once per day, weather permitting.

What if my dog is sensitive to cleaning supplies?

If a dog has sensitivities to cleaning supplies we will do a light cleaning once a day, with additional cleaning as needed. This includes vacuuming, laundering, washing of food bowls, and giving fresh water. We do offer an organic solution to clean up any dirt or mud.

My dog likes to sleep in her crate at night.

We like to keep the same routine that the dog has at home. This helps reduce stress and allows us to maintain the dog’€™s regular sleeping pattern. A crate can be brought from home or we can provide one as needed.

What is included in the boarding fee?

Our kennel guests will receive six potty breaks and around two hours of one on one interaction with our kennel technicians a day. They will have access to fresh water and we will maintain their regular feeding schedule.

What should I bring for my dog?

The only item we require owners to bring is food because we do not want to change the dog’€™s diet. Additional items such as bedding and toys that may provide comfort to the dog are always welcome. We have stainless steel bowls and bedding that we can provide for our guests. We ask that bowls are not brought from home unless your dog requires a special feeding bowl such as a slow feeder or bowl riser.  Any belongings that you bring in for your dog will be labeled with a permanent marker using your last name or your dog’s name.  This includes bedding, toys, food containers, scoops, medication, carriers and/or baggies of treats.

Do I need a reservation?

Yes. A reservation is required. You may request a boarding reservation through the Client Portal or call the store at 440-708-1364.

Does my pet need to be vaccinated? What if they have health issues?

Yes. We require vaccinations for Rabies, Leptospirosis, Bordetella, and Distemper-Parvo. We require a negative fecal examination within sixty days prior to the very first boarding visit and every year after that. If the dog has health issues and the vet is not comfortable or willing to vaccinate, we require a written letter or verbal confirmation from the veterinarian. Once we receive this, waivers can be signed for all vaccines, except the fecal examination.

What is your cancellation policy?

We do require a minimum of 72 hours notice for ALL cancellations.  If 72 hour notice is not given you will be charged a $50.00 cancellation fee regardless of the length of your stay.

Can I tour your facility before booking a reservation?

We encourage a tour of our facility prior to the dog€’s first visit. A tour can be given any time during our store hours.

Do you have any age or health restrictions for boarding?

We do not have any age or health restrictions. We ask that if a dog is elderly or has health restrictions we evaluate them and review any special instructions prior to their stay. If their needs are not something we can accommodate in our facility we can discuss further options.

I have a multiple dog household. Can they stay in the same room together?

Dogs must live together to share a room together. Up to three large dogs or four small dogs can board in one room. There is an additional fee for three or more dogs per room.

Can I check in on my dog while I am away?

We encourage owners to call and check in on their dog as much as they would like.  We do offer an All About My Day e-mail or text update service for an additional fee.

What hours are you there?

A kennel technician is onsite with the dogs from 6:45am until 9:00pm.

What size are the rooms?

Each room is 44 square feet. The dimensions are 5 1/2′ x 8′. The room height is either 6′ or 8′.
